Scalloped
Potatoes
1 kg potatoes
1 packet of onion soup mix
2 cups milk
1/2 cup grated cheese
Slice the precooked potatoes
and arrange them in layers in a buttered shallow ovenware
dish. Sprinkle a packet of dry soup mix over each layer.
Pour the milk over the potatoes, dampening the soup
mix. Sprinkle grated cheese over the potatoes, then
cover loosely with aluminium foil. Bake at 200°C
for 20 minutes until golden brown. If the sauce is too
thick before the potatoes are golden brown, add 1/2
cup of boiling water.
